
Chris and Bryan
Chris and Bryan are brothers from a separated family. Their mother was unable to finance all three sons, thus, she took the eldest son and left the two younger boys with the father.
The father also could not take care of the two siblings.
Both Chris and Bryan were put under the care of their grandmother who finds it hard to take care two toddlers with her old age. After leaving the son in several guardians, the father concluded that his sons should be put under a better care.
In the end, the two brothers were sent to Good Samaritan Home and they have a better life since. They are well taken cared of and a lot of children to communicate with.
David Koh Eng Hong
David was a playful child. His father passed away when he was around 6 years old. Since then, he has to spend his free time in his mother stall.
Certainly, the environment did not suit a growing child. For a better life of the son, his mother let him stay under the guardian of Good Samaritan Home.
Staying in the home allows David to learn to be responsible. He is also more polite and become a better person with a proper guidance and adequate education.
He is certainly happy in the home and he describes his life in the home as AWESOME!
Anthony Lim Yien Yong
When he was five, Anthony lost his father who was defeated by cancer. He stayed with his mother since. Sadly, his mother was attacked by cancer when he was 10 and it became worse when he turned 12. His mother came to Pastor Ong and asked for help of taking care of her son after her death.
On June 2003, his mother passed away and Anthony was sent to Good Samaritan Home. Though sad in the beginning, but he learnt to become a cheerful person and leading a happy life in the home.
Having a big family with a lot of brothers and sisters in the home make Anthony a more discipline and independent boy since he has to take care of the younger in the home.
Living in the home make Anthony realizes how much sacrifice Pastor Ong and all the staff in the home for taking care and keeping them shelter. He learns to be more gratitude towards kindness and a more loving person.
Benjamin Ramki Mathevan
Benjamin is one of the first few kids to join Good Samaritan Home. At the age of 2, his father left him with Pastor Ong. Live in the home with a lot of siblings make him a charming boy.
The multiracial environment in the home allows him to develop strong language ability where he can speak 4 languages such as Mandarin, English, Bahasa Melayu and also Tamil plus two dialects which include Hokkien and Cantonese.
He loves to listen to music and play musical instruments. He can dance too. It is awesome to stay in the home for him because he gets to meet up with a lot of people who come to the home for visitation. This has widen his horizon and make him an open-minded boy.
John
John was a kampong boy before he came to Good Samaritan Home. His mother passed away when he was young. His family is not well financially and this had made him a shoplifter. His father had to send him to Good Samaritan Home for a better future. A few years later, his father passed away too.
Since he came to the home, with proper guidance and teachings, he became a good person and wiped off the habit of shoplifting. He develops new hobbies such as singing and listening to songs. He loves Akon and his friend call him Akon because he loves to sing Akon’s songs.
Now, John is a responsible boy and he is the Class President in school. He knows how to gain respect from respecting people and he is also a friendly and modest boy.
